British-style brass band giving free concert in Morrison

MORRISON – The award-winning Eastern Iowa Brass Band of Mount Vernon will give a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Ave.

The 35-member, British-style brass and percussion band performs in 1900s-style costumes and, according to its Web site, “is reminiscent of the ‘town band’ seen in communities all across the country 100 years ago.”
