ROCK FALLS – Velma Foskitt, 93, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Coventry Living Center, Sterling.

Mrs. Foskitt was born Jan. 22, 1916, in Branson, Mo., the daughter of Jefferson and Beulah Mae (Montgomery) Bonville. She married Dewitt Foskitt on July 31, 1940, in Muscatine, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2004.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolina Mercer of Sterling, and Dianna (Richard) Keefer and Twilla (Rodney) Keefer, both of Rock Falls; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, with Rita Wolf, Hospice of the Rock River Valley chaplain, officiating. Burial will be at Erie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.
