22-year-old Sterling man found dead in his home

A 22-year old Sterling man was found dead in his home about 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said in a news release.

The death of Christopher D. Golden is under investigation, and no further information was available Wednesday morning, the release said.

Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald  said an autopsy was scheduled and preliminary results were expected this afternoon.

It is too soon to rule in or rule out foul play, McDonald said.

“We treat all deaths as suspicious until we know otherwise.”
