CHICAGO (AP) — Authorities have ruled the death of a 3-month baby from Chicago a homicide.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says autopsy results on Saturday show Aurora Hall died from subdural hematoma, blunt head trauma and child abuse. Chicago police say they're investigating the baby's death as a homicide.

The girl's mother told police the baby became unresponsive at her South Side home while she was being fed. Authorities say the baby died Friday at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services says it also is investigating.
