BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) — Police in Bolingbrook say someone has stolen a plaque memorializing missing Stacy Peterson from the Recreation and Aquatic Center in the southwestern Chicago suburb.

Police said Thursday that the plaque, which reads, "Stacy Peterson. Mother, sister, friend," was stolen from the facility some time after Tuesday evening. Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa said someone also stole a lilac bush from the site.

Stacy Peterson is the missing fourth wife of former Bolingbrook Police Sgt. Drew Peterson, who is jailed on charges of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

Drew Peterson was indicted in Savio's 2004 death and is a suspect in Stacy's disappearance. He has denied any involvement in either case.
