MOUNT MORRIS – Frances Ann “Blondie” Voss, 78, of 3747 W. state Route 64, Lot 63, Mount Morris, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at SwedishAmerican Hospital, Rockford. She was employed by Kable Printing Co., Mount Morris, as a bookbinder in the bindery department; E.D. Etnyre & Co., Oregon, as a welder; Rahn Elementary School, Mount Morris, as a teacher’s aide; and Pinecrest Manor, Mount Morris, as a cook.

Frances, a lifelong resident of Ogle County, was born Dec. 25, 1930, in Polo, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Rucker) Folk. She was a 1950 graduate of Polo High School. Frances married Raymond M. Voss Sr. on May 4, 2002, in Mount Morris. She was a member of Disciples United Methodist Church, Mount Morris, Women of the Moose Chapter 485, Mount Morris, and Oregon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8739 Women’s Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Ray; three daughters, Linda (Guy) LaCombe of Chana, Darcie (Larry Schier) Wright of Mount Morris, and Crystal (Roger) Bailey of Polo; one stepdaughter, Jeanette (Gordon) Eberhardt of Sandwich; one stepson, Richard (Donde) Voss of Atlanta; her special Wisconsin children; two sisters, Helen Schreiner of Sterling and Viola Dykema of Polo; five grandchildren, Robert (Myndi) Fletcher, Ryan (Martha) Fletcher, Amber (Ray) Kosick, and Eric Schier, all of Mount Morris, and Owen Bailey of Polo; and four great-grandchildren, Raven Nance Fletcher of Polo, and Evan Kosich, Abigail Fletcher, and Andrew Fletcher, all of Mount Morris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Danny Schelling; six brothers, Howard, Robert, Ross, Melvin, Harry, and William Folk; and three sisters, Louise Wuebben, June Miller, and Ruth Smith.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Disciples United Methodist Church, Mount Morris, with the Rev. Doc Newcomb, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Polo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Finch Funeral Home, Mount Morris.

A memorial will be established.
