PADS thankful for public support

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The Twin Cities PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) director and board of directors would like to express their deepest appreciation to the people of Sterling, Rock Falls and all other surrounding communities who attended our open house.

We welcomed more than 100 people who came to enjoy our barbecue pork chop sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, cookies and caramel apples. The children who came enjoyed painting and carving pumpkins, and we enjoyed raffling off prizes along with the success of our silent auction items, bake sale and our live auction.

We gave many tours, and we had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from the community who offer their support through monetary donations, volunteer hours, or food and goods donations. We thank you for your support to help make our open house and fall festival a great success.

We continue to seek new and returning volunteers, and look forward to our upcoming fundraising event hosted by Good Neighbor Care in Sterling – our chili buffet dinner, which will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. You can purchase advance tickets through our volunteers or our board members and director or through Good Neighbor Care.

If you are interested in volunteering, making a donation, or attending one of our events, feel free to contact us at 815-626-2210.

Note to readers – Brandy Walter is the director of PADS.
