Lois Gerdy
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Lois Virginia Gerdy, 86, went to be with her Lord and husband on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Rock Island, to James and Florence Geidner. She was a licensed vocation nurse.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gerdy; two brothers, John and Rudolph Nordholm; and one sister, Vera Lewendowski.
Survivors include two children, James and his wife, Sharon Gerdy of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lee and his wife, Kathy Gerdy of Sterling; two grandchildren, Sean and Heather (Gerdy) Pierceson of Sterling; two great-grandchildren, Brennan and Jace Pierceson of Sterling; and her half sister, Jackie Gedutis of Boston.
Services are planned for a later date.
Arrangements were completed by Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mrs. Gerdy’s family would like to express the appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Lois by Christus Spohn Hospice.
