Amanda Hill, 21, is a sales associate and bartender at the Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe in Dixon. She is the daughter of Kirk and Susan Hill, 44 and 41, of Byron, and lives in Oregon with her boyfriend, Kyle Trenholm, 24.

Alma mater: I graduated from Byron High School in 2005.

Philosophy: Be yourself and go with the flow.

Oughta be a law: I would like semi's to be banned from driving on the highways – especially the ones that drive fast in bad weather.

Hearts: Going to see bands play, listening to "Iron and Wine," and watching "The Office" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

Darts: Cleaning.

Haunts: I'm kind of a homebody, but I do like to go to Chicago.

First job: I was a secretary at Austin-Westran in Byron when I was 15.

First car: A Honda Accord when I was 15.

People say I look like: When I was younger, people always told me I looked like the Olson twins.

Phobia: Mice.

Guilty pleasure: Drinking wine every day.

I’d like to meet: Singer Elliot Smith. I really like and relate to his music, and it would be interesting to have a conversation with him.

In the dictionary next to: Honest. I have a hard time hiding what I'm thinking or feeling.

Trading places: I don't really believe in trading places with anyone or being envious of other people.

Trading spaces: Greece. It looks really beautiful.

Best thing about Oregon: I think it's very pretty with the different forest preserves and the old architecture.
