MORRISON – Gabriel P. Gomez, 74, of 15490 Lincoln Road, Morrison, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at his home. He owned and operated Casa Gomez in Morrison and was employed by Morrison Unit 6 School system, as a custodian.

Mr. Gomez was born May 20, 1935, in Chicago, the son of Aurelio and Mary (Rodriguez) Gomez. He married Helen Ramos on May 31, 1958, in Chicago. He was a member of St. Anne Episcopal Church, Morrison.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Gabriel T. (Sue) Gomez and Raymond (Charles Galusha) Gomez, both of Morrison, David (Becky) Gomez of Joliet, and Anthony Gomez of Peoria, Ariz.; two sisters, Victoria Lopez of Oak Lawn and Renee Bulvan of Chicago; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Episcopal Church, Morrison, with the Rev. Gary Lawler, pastor, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial is at St. Anne Episcopal Church Urn Garden, Morrison. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison.

A memorial has been established.
