Kash 4 Kids
 event a success

On Oct. 17, more than 100 Dixon Public School students participated in the second annual Kash 4 Kids community cleanup fundraising event.

Students raked leaves, pulled weeds and did other odd jobs for Dixon homeowners. A donation was given to the group after the work was completed.

A big thank you goes out to several area businesses who donated supplies for the event. Biodegradable yard waste bags were donated by County Market and Wal-Mart. Student volunteers enjoyed pop and water donated by Affordable Waste Systems and sandwiches donated by Subway. Dianne Frye donated hot chocolate for the students.

Thank you to everyone who participated.
