Harmony Festival tonight: 200 students from area high schools to perform

STERLING – More than 200 students from area high schools are spending today preparing to sing their hearts out tonight.

The Youth in Harmony Festival, sponsored by the Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus, brings boys and girls from Sterling, Dixon, Rock Falls, Prophetstown, Milledgeville, Polo, Erie, Eastland, Sherrard and Scales Mound high schools together for a day of harmonizing.

It culminates in a community concert at 6:30 tonight in Centennial Auditorium at Sterling High School.

A boys chorus, a girls chorus, the Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus, a men’s quartet called Off the Record and a women’s quartet called Brilliance will perform. Admission is $5.
