Brianna “Bri” Grau, 23, of Sterling, works for CosmoProf, which supplies beauty products to salons, and does hair part time at Statik Hair Studio and Day Spa in Sterling.

She is the daughter of Cindy Grau of Oregon and William Grau of Byron, and has two sisters, Emily Diehl, 25, of Leaf River, and Haley Grau, 20, of Oregon.

On-the-job lesson: Put everything you’ve got into it.

Alma mater: I graduated in 2004 from Oregon High School and got my cosmetology license from Highland Community College, Freeport.

Hearts: Playing softball, swimming, running, riding my horse, Charlie, and watching “One Tree Hill” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Darts: Cleaning.

Haunts: My sister’s house.

First job: I detasseled when I was 15. I didn’t like it. It was hot.

First car: An Oldsmobile when I was 16.

Phobia: Being in the dark by myself.

Guilty pleasure: Pizza.

In the dictionary next to: Outgoing.

Trading spaces: I’d like to visit Mexico again. I went in February.

Best thing about Sterling: Everything’s here. It’s convenient.
