MORRISON – Emmanuel Reformed Church of Morrison will sponsor a concert by Christian musician Steve Green on Aug. 30 at the Morrison High School Auditorium, 643 Genesee Ave.

A donation will be accepted. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7.

Green grew up in Argentina, the son of missionary parents, and was exposed to music at an early age through his father’s weekly church services. He later returned to the United States and started a music career in college. He was a tenor for the Gaither Vocal Band, and in 1984, he released his first recording with Sparrow Records.

Green has recorded 13 No. 1 radio songs, received seven Dove awards and four Grammy nominations, as well as many other Christian and music awards. He and his wife, Marijean, have been married for 29 years, and they have two grown children.
