Local businesses sponsor fair

MILLEDGEVILLE – A sponsorship campaign raised money for Carroll County Fair grandstand events; $5,760 was donated to the fair this year by county businesses.

The three tiers of sponsorship included gold, more than $500; silver, $250-$499; and bronze, up to $250.

Sponsors could choose a nightly event or to just make a donations. Sponsors received recognition during grandstand events and throughout fair week, in the fairbook and in fair publicity.

Gold sponsors: Carroll County Farm Bureau, COUNTRY Financial, Eastland Feed and Grain, 1st Farm Credit Services, Milledgeville State Bank, Swiss Colony Cos., and Wiersema Trucking.

Silver sponsors: Hafer Trucking, Jo-Carroll Energy, Lanark Ag Center, and The National Bank.

Bronze sponsors: Brother’s Restaurant, Lanark Dental Clinic, Eastland Fabrication, First State Bank Shannon-Polo, Hook Grain, Lanark Mutual Insurance, McGinnis Market, and Meador Ag Service.
