DIXON - Johnson Controls today announced the planned closure of its Dixon plant that employs about 210 people.

The process is expected to take several months.

The plant makes Frick and Imeco brand industrial and commercial evaporators, condensers, cooling towers and hygenic air handling units.

The company cited the global economic downturn and a resulting lack of production at the plant for its decision to close.
