POLO – Polo families will open their gardens to visitors on Friday and July 10 to raise money for a Polo girl fighting cancer.

The Gardens of Hope will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11, with donation jars at each site. All donations will go to the Cassidy Terry Medical Fund. Cassidy, the 16-year-old daughter of Tena and Drew Terry of Polo, is undergoing treatment for acute myeloid leukemia.

The owners of the gardens and their addresses are:

■ Randy and Nancy Ocken, 3445 N. Union Road (Carrie Brooke Farm). Their garden features a treehouse under construction, and pathways through native plants.
