Lunch is served to the needy every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer at various locations in Sterling, Rock Falls, and Tampico. No questions are asked.

During the first 3 weeks of the program, 7,133 lunches were prepared and served by volunteers.

Wal-Mart Distribution Center 7024 has donated the fruit and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sterling, has donated the bread each week.

In Rock Falls, lunches can be picked up from noon to 1 p.m. at Rock Falls United Methodist Church, 210 Fourth Ave., and at the          Coloma Homes community room.

Deliveries are made daily to the Yeowardsville area, Country Acres Park, Cedarwood Apartments, and Easy Living in Rock Falls.

For more information about the program, call 815-625-7973.

Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 806, Sterling, IL 61081.
