Resident questions officer’s actions

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

I am writing today to express the feelings that I have over the disgusting act the Sterling police officer did to Babe, the 3-year-old Lab mix. I cannot for the life of me understand why the officer did not yell at the dog or call for the owner.

The way it sounds is the dog barked, the owner did not even have time to get up to see what she was barking about, and the shot went off. I don’t know if the officer was having a bad morning or what, that a good dog had to die. You ripped the hearts out of the owners that loved her. I know a lot of other folks are feeling the way I do today, and that is not good.

I think the police force should work at Happy Tails to find out what the difference is between aggression and barking because it is their space.

Deeply saddened by the act of a person we hold respect for.
