ROCK FALLS – Andy Ray Repass, 57, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, Wis.

He was born Jan. 25, 1952, in Tazwell, Va., the son of Walter Ray and Mary Louise (Hamilton) Repass.

He was the valedictorian of the 1969 class of Tampico High School. He was united in marriage to Ellen Castendyck on Oct. 30, 1976, in Sterling.

Andy was a truck driver, driving for Standard Forwarding. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Air Force. Andy loved music, going to concerts, and inspiring many musicians. He enjoyed spending time gardening and working with wood.  He treasured traveling and spending time with friends and family. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Ellen; his daughter, Corrina Lynn Repass (Rob Shelley) of Galesburg; his son, Alan Ray Repass (Karrie Davis) of Rock Falls; his brother, Tom (Robyn) Repass of Puyallup, Wash.; and a favorite grandchild, Liam Ray Repass.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ray and Louise Repass.

Memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Rock Falls Evangelical Congregational Church, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dennis Buss officiating. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
