The police report does not include every crime in a community. In some cases, no police report is filed, and sometimes police withhold information on pending investigations. If you know of a crime that has occurred in your neighborhood that has not been reported here, call your local police department, then call Sauk Valley Newspapers at 800-798-4085.

Rock Falls Police

Jose M. Atilano, 27, of Rock Falls; 1:32 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of First Avenue; driving under the influence, no insurance; given notice to appear in court.

State Police

Roadside Safety Checks; ISP will conduct roadside safety checks July 3-5 in Ogle County. The checks are funded through a grant from the Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
