DIXON – KSB Hospital has named Debra Didier chief financial officer to replace Skip Farrell, who is retiring.

The change is effective Jan 1.

Didier, 48, joined KSB 21 years ago as director of accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bradley University, Peoria, and is a certified public accountant.

Prior to joining KSB, she was the budget and reimbursement manager at Proctor Community Hospital in Peoria.

“I believe Deb’s experience has her poised to help lead KSB into our next generation of health care excellence,” said Darryl Vandervort, KSB’s president and chief executive.

When she joined KSB in May 1988 the organization was much different, Didier said.

“With the advent and integration of computers the accounting process has changed tremendously,” she said.

“Bookkeeping, auditing and staff duties have been computerized and are more efficient. We definitely use less paper now.”

Dave Schreiner, chief operating officer, said Didier is a great choice as the next CFO due to her level of tenure and familiarity with hospital operations.

“I look forward to Deb joining the administrative team; she will have valuable input regarding hospital issues,” he said. “Deb has a high level of comfort with our staff and our board of directors, which is a great way to start in this position.”

Didier will oversee departments within the financial division of the hospital. A search has begun for her replacement.
