Guard offers address for condolence letters

The Illinois National Guard has published an address for anyone wishing to send condolences to the family of Spc. Norman Cain III, who was killed March 15 in Afghanistan.

Cain, a native of Freeport, whose wife and children moved to Mount Morris during his deployment, was killed with two other Illinois guardsmen and an Arizona airman in Kot by an explosive device.

The Illinois guardsmen were assigned to an infantry unit based in Woodstock. The three soldiers are the 25th, 26th and 27th Illinois guardsmen killed since the start of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
